Exp Realty One Year Review

It’s OFFICIAL I hit my 1 year anniversary at Exp Realty! So how has it been? What’s good, bad, and ugly? Here are my personal thoughts on how it’s been for me at Exp Realty. I joined Exp Realty because it was one of the first major brokerages that focused heavily on technology from the virtual campus Exp World, with over 80 hrs of live online training per week, and FREE access to KvCore, a real estate CRM, for all its agents. That has certainly been delivered! I love all the technology, free agent website with IDX, and lead capture, that ties back into KvCore for automatic lead follow-up as well as marketing drip campaigns. These tools have been invaluable to help me stay connected to leads and revive stalled clients. New this year is the 360 Home app which was built exclusively for Exp Realty. 360 Home means staying connected with clients throughout the home search process by allowing clients to see all local listings, message agents directly through the app regarding properties of interest, pull market reports, and after the purchase allows clients to keep checking their home’s value if they should ever decide to sell. Exp Realty definitely delivers on the technology promise. The only downside of all this is that it is easily overwhelming to learn all of what Exp Realty has to offer. Especially with all the training, you could easily just sit every day watching training. It took me about 1-2 months just to figure out how everything ties into each other and I’m still learning how to effectively use KvCore, which is super powerful in itself.

From an operations standpoint, it is very unique to work with such a large brokerage that is 100% virtual. The virtual brokerage model is great and provides agents with a lot of flexibility and speed to meet clients wherever they are. Exp Realty is different from other brokerages because it does not allow franchise operations. In the US, Exp Realty is one brokerage operating across all 50 states. There are a few designated state brokers for each state that manages all of the agents in that state. There is also Exp Realty support staff to help with administrative work, onboarding agents, answering questions, reviewing transactions, HR, accounting, concierge, and so on. So far in my experience, my state brokers have been awesome in terms of communication through email, phone, or text. Most of the time if not answered right away at least a response within 24 hrs. My managing brokers are very helpful and available to call at all hours of the day including weekends when I am working as an agent. Accounting and payroll are great as well! As long as you include the required transaction documents, you can get paid your commission the next business day! This leads to a negative thing that I dislike, putting together the paperwork. Which we all know is never fun anyhow. Exp Realty requires agents to upload all required transaction documents to Skyslope our document collection and review website. From there each type of transaction is reviewed and either the broker or an assistant will check each document for the accuracy or missing documents. The irritating part is if one little thing doesn’t quite match up, then you must correct your documents to their liking so that the checklist can be checked off.

Another thing that I really enjoy at Exp Realty is the support and collaboration between Exp Realty agents. Whether the Exp Realty agent is part of your Exp Realty family tree or not, there is no limit to sharing knowledge, resources, and collaboration. Through the major annual Exp Realty events, Exp Shareholders Summit, and Exp Con, I’ve been able to meet agents from all over the US and the world to build relationships and a support network of referral partners. Now my business is no longer limited to how far I can drive. Which is truly amazing, there’s nothing else like it.

Lastly, Exp Realty’s unique way to provide agents with solutions for retirement as an agent is absolutely game-changing. The ability to get paid a small percentage of my commission in stock and build wealth is nice. Since I joined, Exp Realty stock EXPI has been sitting around $12-$14 the entire year. Which is fantastic, I get an opportunity to acquire as much stock at a low price and an additional discounted rate. And now I wait for the stock price to increase in the future. The other way to produce income through revenue share, bringing on partners to join me at Exp Realty, has also been great. Right now, I only have two other partners that I’ve sponsored to Exp Realty, but every time they make a sale, I see a nice little surprise check. It isn’t much now, but as I help more partners find Exp Realty, it will grow to be a pretty nice recurring income over the long run. Best of all, Exp Realty allows me to designate a successor to my revenue share when the day comes that I pass. So I can build a legacy while I’m alive and pass it on to my future generation to continue building for themself and they in turn can also pass on what they’ve built.

So far, I’ve really enjoyed everything at Exp Realty. It is a great company that really values its agents and really puts together a lot of great services, tools, and programs for its agents. It’s lived up to my expectations thus far. And I cannot wait to continue to grow at Exp Realty. If you’re considering joining Exp Realty, reach out to me with any questions!
